Conic Outlook: Looking Ahead

There are a number of fake accounts, attempting to impersonate @ConicFinance tweeting refund phishing scams. Please stay safe.

1/ Roughly four hours ago we were alerted of an exploit affecting the $crvUSD Omnipool. In response to this and given today's ETH exploit, we immediately enforced maximum safety measures and temporarily shutdown all Omnipools.

Deposits across all Omnipools have been shutdown. Users are still able to withdraw. We are assessing the situation and will provide updates as soon as we have them.

Conic has reached out to the exploiter via a tx sent from the official Conic Multisig address (https://t.co/L4HvNSdt34). Other txs claiming to recover funds on behalf of Conic are a scam.

1/ Status update: - The root cause was a re-entrancy attack that was able to be performed because of a wrong assumption as to what address is returned by the Curve Meta Registry for ETH in Curve V2 pools - A fix to the affected contract is being deployed

Followed with Conic on this one. Issue was identified, only ETH omnipool is affected there
